How can I purchase a ticket?
Tickets for our Winter Adventure Lottery and 50/50 are available online at tickets.kamloopsylotto.ca. We will also have weekly pop-up sales support kiosks. Locations are to be determined and will be posted on our Facebook page.

When are the deadlines for ticket sales?
The deadline for Early Bird is December 10, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
The final deadline for ticket sales is January 28, 2025 at 11:59 pm.
When are the draws for the prizes?
The draw for Early Bird is December 18, 2024 at 9:00 am.
The final draw for the Winter Adventure Lottery and 50/50 is February 5, 2025 at 9:00 am.
All draws will be held at John Tod Y, 150 Wood St, Kamloops, BC.
How are the prizes awarded?
The prize draws will be conducted in accordance with the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch – Licensed Charitable Gaming Rules. The prize winner is chosen by using a random number generator.

How old do you have to be to purchase a ticket?
The ticket purchaser must be 19 years of age or older.
Is my prize ticket tax deductible?
No, lottery tickets are not tax deductible, even though proceeds support a charitable cause.
What if I lose my ticket?
It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure their order has processed and that they receive their ticket(s). Once your order is complete, you can look up your order online here: tickets.kamloopsylotto.ca/status. Enter your order number and email or postal code, then select Print tickets to download a PDF copy to print or save. You don’t need your ticket to claim your prize, just one piece of government issued photo ID.
Can I request a specific ticket number?
No. Ticket numbers are computer-generated in ascending order starting at a pre-determined number.
How long does it take to receive my ticket?
You should receive your ticket right away. Depending on the volume of traffic online, it can take several minutes to receive the email with the ticket. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder. You can also look up your order online here: tickets.kamloopsylotto.ca/status. Enter your order number and email or postal code, then select Print tickets to download a PDF copy to print or save.

How can I be sure my tickets are in the draw?
The professional services firm, KPMG LLP ensures that all paid tickets are in the draw.
Can I purchase a ticket if I’m a non-resident of BC?
Yes, but there are specific restrictions which must be met. You must be physically in BC when purchasing a ticket. You must also be able to pick up the prize physically in BC, as prizes cannot be mailed out of the province.
No one may purchase a ticket on behalf of another who is not physically present in the province of BC.
Are there any restrictions with a resident of BC purchasing a ticket?
A resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. When a resident of British Columbia is outside the province of BC, they may not purchase tickets.
No tickets may be purchased by the Board of Directors of YMCA BC or by employees of the Kamloops Region of YMCA BC. Any YMCA BC employees involved with lottery operations or fund development may not purchase tickets. Employees of our official auditors, KPMG LLP, may not purchase tickets.
Can I add multiple names to a ticket or ticket pack?
No, you can only list one individual’s name as the purchaser of the ticket(s)/value pack. In the case of a winning ticket, the prize will be awarded to the purchaser. Do not use a company name, family name, or group name as the purchaser of a ticket.
In the event an individual ticket, or a ticket from a value pack, is associated with a winning ticket/number, the prize will be awarded to the primary purchaser. It is the responsibility of the primary purchaser to be the group trustee and to distribute winnings between group members. The licensee (Kamloops Y) is not responsible for distributing winnings or resolving disputes between groups members.
I am trying to order tickets but am getting a message saying my IP address is out of province even though I am in BC. How can I purchase tickets?
Our ticket vendor uses geo fencing to confirm your IP address is in BC. Unfortunately, with some internet service providers, this information cannot be confirmed. Some methods of resolving this issue include:
If you are using a mobile device, switch from wifi to cellular data (or switch from cellular data to wifi)
Try using a different device
Try switching to a different internet service
Turn off any VPN in useI am trying to purchase tickets, but then nothing is happening when I try to submit my order. How can I purchase tickets?
There are multiple possible reasons that you may be unable to complete the transaction:
There is incomplete information on the order form (complete the order form and then try to submit again)
The credit card information is incomplete or incorrect (make sure your credit card information is entered correctly)
The browser you are using is not supported by the ticket vendor (try using a different browser or device)
I have made a mistake on my ticket. How can I correct it?

Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada.
How long do I have to claim my prize(s)?
The prize must be claimed within twelve (12) months of the draw date.
Will my name be publicized if I am the winner?
